Dear EMS member,

     As you probably know, next month we have the possibility to meet at the 6 ^th Multinational Congress on Microscopy (6.MCM) organized by the Croatian, Austrian, Czechoslovak, Hungarian, Italian and Slovenian Society for Microscopy in Pula, June 1 to 5, 2003 (web site: < http://www.ifs.hr/mcm/ >). All EMS members are welcome to participate in this meeting and will benefit from a reduced participation fee. During this congress, EMS members are invited to gather for an EMS General Assembly. This meeting will take place in the late afternoon (± 18 hrs) of Tuesday June 2^nd. The exact place and hour will be announced at the registration desk. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the present situation and the plans of EMS.
